WebJul 9, 2024 · The seeming need for the WHO to prefix the word ‘wellbeing’ with ‘physical, mental and social’ in its definition of health is emblematic of the lack of a wellbeing definition. Applying the biopsychosocial health model to wellbeing with these prefixes is unhelpful as it creates further overlap between the terms: health and wellbeing. WebCultural well-being, however, is not defined in the Act. This report therefore looks at a possible definition, reports on what cultural well-being means in theory and practice, and discusses how it interacts with other types of well-being.
