WebThe term ‘dual diagnosis’ is used in a variety of ways by people working in health and social care in the UK. In the NHS, it usually refers to the occurrence of a mental illness alongside substance misuse. Some studies have used the term to refer to any co-existing mental illness, whereas others WebDDA stands for ‘Dual Diagnosis Anonymous‘. We are a peer support/mutual aid fellowship that supports people with a combination of mental health issues and addiction/substance/alcohol misuse (otherwise known as a Dual Diagnosis). We follow a ’12 plus 5′ Step Model.
