Webb19 jan. 2009 · The inlay fields of the corner pieces and the inner edges of the top and bottom rails have ebonized stringing. Following is another picture that hopefully shows a little more detail of these areas. The stringing is 1/8" ebonized "wood", probably maple or similar, because it flexes without breaking.

The next time I used a chisel and got much better results, but again, a bit tricky. Some boxes I'm making now I'm going to try a plane blade. I'm thinking a crank neck chisel or a chisel plane would be the best tools for the job. saved math
