AIVR is currently defined as an enhanced ectopic ventricular rhythm with at least 3 consecutive ventricular beats, which is faster than normal intrinsic ventricular escape rhythm (≤40 bpm), but slower than ventricular tachycardia (at least 100-120 bpm). WebHeart block, also called AV block, is when the electrical signal that controls your heartbeat is partially or completely blocked. This makes your heart beat slowly or skip beats and your heart can’t pump blood effectively. Symptoms include dizziness, fainting, tiredness and shortness of breath. Pacemaker implantation is a common treatment.
